As LA rises as the world-class destination for art, January has been declared ART MONTH for the City of Angeles. With two prominent fairs descending on the city, LA’s art scene is in full bloom.

Art Los Angeles Contemporary (JAN 25 – 28)
Art Los Angeles Contemporary will once again descend on the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, and feature some of the most cutting-edge galleries and artists from around the globe. 67 galleries from London to Lima will be present, including longtime local stalwarts such as Galerie Derouillon from Paris, David Kordansky Gallery, Ibid and Ghebaly Gallery, and newcomers: Galerie Antoine Ertaskiran in Montréal, Instituto de Visión in Bogotá, LAZY Mike in Moscow, Revolver in Lima, and Vigo Gallery in London.
ALAC will hold an opening reception January 25, 2018, and opens to the public the following day.
“As the international art community looks towards Los Angeles as a new global epicenter, it is essential to have an event that draws upon a comprehensive notion of the city,” Tim Fleming, the fair’s founder and director, said in a release. “ALAC is a product of Los Angeles’ unique cultural community composed of an incredibly diverse array of artists, galleries, curators, institutions, collectors and enthusiasts.
